• At Burchell High School we have high expectations for our school community to be a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all.

To do this, we spend time building relationships, reinforce positive behaviors, teach and model our expectations, and practice self-regulation skill building. We provide opportunities for personalized learning, offer high levels of social-emotional supports, and partner with our families and community resources.

If conflict or challenging behaviors occur, we hold one another accountable to our shared community values and behavior expectations. We take time for de-escalation and use restorative justice practices to provide opportunities to explore what happened and the impact it had on our community with the intention of making things right. We practice responsibility taking, repairing relationships and restoring our community if harm occurs.
