CTSOs = Career and Technical Student Organizations
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are an important component of local career and technical education in Alaska.
Each organization provides:
- Standards-based education
- Leadership and professional development
- Job and career-related training
- Employability skills
- Citizenship and communication skills
- Opportunities to set and achieve goals
Alaska has state and local chapters of Business Professionals of America (BPA); DECA, an Association of Marketing Students; Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); Agricultural Education (FFA); SkillsUSA; and HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America).
