Safety is the number one priority for MSBSD. The Safety and Security Manager is responsible for the management, support, and coordination of all safety issues between operational and instructional departments. Coordinating safety drills with school principals maximizes resources and helps provide the safest environment possible for students and employees. The Safety and Security Manager works with school safety coordinators and resource officers to employ safety measures in MSBSD facilities. Working with all emergency first responders, the Safety and Security Manager supports community safety through drills and situation actions. MSBSD has adopted A.L.I.C.E. (Alert.Lockdown. Inform.Counter.Evacuate) protocol for reacting to emergency situations—providing training and practice.
